Hate when I have to wrap things up and I know I could have made it better. Leaves a bad taste in my mouth. Anyway can't wait to see it when the New Jersey Mag drops.

They removed the hotdog from the top of the van but here is the old munch dog design before it gets stripped and re-done for this year.

Bad Business

Last weeks illustration on big business acting badly. I had to do this in a single shift. It was kind of nerve racking but it seems to happen a lot in this place. Kind of sucks because I always see something I want or could have fixed. On the bright side it is making me faster.

Free Pass?

Tweaking going to have to wrap this up by tomorrow.

Two more Illustrations from last year that I dig.

I guess while looking back I should post a few pieces from last year as I did find a bit of extra time between the important stuff (like watching old episodes of Walking dead, Madmen, Supernaturals and oh yeah lets not forget my entire box set of Dragon Ball sagas) I guess I did find time to squeeze in some actual drawing. (what a sad sad existence)
Illustration I'm working on for an upcoming project. Got some cool design stuff going on too but gotta keep this one under wraps.

New Decal image for the Star-Ledger Munch Mobile over in N.J. The Idea is a bit simplified from last year but still fun. I sure will miss that old illustration though. I might have to post it here so I can reminisce.
This year the typography is being put together by Shawn Weston again. (Kids gifted) I started out with bold lines. The idea was for him to be friendly and relatable, (Honestly I wanted to go the route of making him a fat parity of Chris Christie but I guess that wouldn't entice people to join us for our yearly pig out sessions so...) we went sort of saturday morning cartoonish. As I worked it up I decided to pull back the bold lines to soften the image and make it a little more real by giving it a better sense of light. Can't wait to see how it all turns out this year.

Some lesser paying gigs. Liked the concept behind the whole project as I'm usually drawn to social and economical commentary in works. I just wish I had enough time to get this project done.
First decent paying freelance gig in probably 2 years. Man its hard making a decent living being an artist if your not on your A game 24-7. Thank god for my 9-5 I guess.
